Arts Libérateurs

Arts Libérateurs is an ode to creation as an act of liberation. Painting, dance, music and poetry meet in a sensitive dialogue around blue.

Performed by the dancer and choreographer Annick Maucouvert, the film follows a figure seeking emancipation, overwhelmed by the sight of a painting. Facing this blue canvas, the body begins to move: each gesture becomes a trace, each breath becomes material.

Damien Fior’s original score accompanies this inner journey.

A blue ghost, a recurring figure in my work, appears as a reflection, an ambiguous presence between guide and memory.

Little by little, the body merges with the colour.
Dance becomes painting in motion.

Blue, the common thread, links the disciplines and affirms a central conviction:
the transformation of the soul comes through art.
