An hourglass on a gold tondo, hands marking hours and seconds, clouds drifting the wrong way: Jour après jour (Day After Day) gives shape to a twisted, inner time, the time of thoughts.
The work has no fixed way up: it can be turned around. One way, passing time sets the mind free; the other, it lets it fall into the void. The viewer decides.
On the back, the artist wrote: “The sun of my thoughts lights my way.”
Round canvas, 30.5 cm in diameter.
